In 2016, CATMEDIA began production on its flagship feature-length movie, Apocalypse Island, a compelling story about family, power, and the human mind. This was CATMEDIA’s first foray into the entertainment business and film-making.
Based on a play “Mnemosyne,” written by CATMEDIA employee William Warren, Apocalypse Island is about a cult hidden away on a marshland island led by a charismatic Pastor. When questions spread about his methods by some of his own closest followers, a twisting narrative unfolds, revealing the island’s true nature.
CATMEDIA’s Creative Team worked on adapting the script for nine months while sourcing a crew and cast of talented actors and actresses, including Pretty Little Liars’ own, Nia Peeples. Apocalypse Island was shot in two production phases, with the majority being shot in the coastal marshes of Georgia, and the remainder in Atlanta. CATMEDIA wrapped up and completed post-production in early 2018.
Apocalypse Island is currently being distributed internationally.
